So, I ended up buying a Gamecube. It *is* the system that's going to have the longest life before it's next iteration comes up. But those fuckers at Yodobashikamera didn't have Pikmin 2! The guy behind the counter had never even heard of it before. But what burns my cheese is that today I went out with some people and at a used book and software store called Book Off, they had used Gamecubes for 90 bucks. Fucking A. And they had Pikmin 2! I ended up buying Starfox Assault at Yodobashi, and I found out to my chagrin last night that it basically doesn't have anything that made the other two versions of Starfox fun. I decided not to buy Pikmin 2 at Book Off, though, because it was still relatively expensive. Instead, I bought Doshin the Giant, which was much cheaper and is a Japan-only release, which helps to justify my purchase of a Gamecube. Doshin the Giant was originally released for the Japan-only, defunct out of the box 64 DD system, a disk drive add-on for the Nintendo 64. In the game, you are Doshin, a giant god of a small island. You can save villagers, alter the landscape, or raise hell as your heart desires. So, I guess with Doshin and Pikmin 2 and all, the Gamecube ultimately has the most games that I want (that I hadn't already bought and played to death in the US). I can also look forward to the new realistic Zelda game, though I don't actually know when that's coming out. Oh, and at Book Off they were also selling Panasonic Qubes (A Gamecube plus an all-region DVD player) for 250. Damnit.

That means that you now have bought THREE Gamecubes in your lifetime. WTF???And why are you playing video games there? Shouldn't you be making lots of new friends??? Eh, eh???
Oh, and BTW I finished Zelda. It was fun, so thank you!

Re: dude...
Hey, I went out to a bar the other night and so on. I'm getting out there! And anyway, right now there really aren't any good opportunities to meet Japanese students.
